SKILLS REQUIRED & DESCRIPTION:
BASIC PURPOSE:
Responsible for development and implementation of the Marketing wireless strategy (including cellular, wi-fi, wimax, sms, satellite and other wireless technologies) for deployment in the automotive and connected device channels as well as other communications products and services for use in products or for sale as features.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
A. Manage all phases of the communications strategy relating to the use of communications in products and services, particularly with a focus on wireless.
B. Determine the approach to wireless services and work with the operational communications group to execute strategy.
C. Proactively identify new initiatives and/or improvements to current programs that drive improved results, increased margin, or gain operational efficiencies based on implementation of strategy.
D. Manage relationships between key internal customers, resources, and partners by effectively communicating Marketing communications strategies with a particular emphasis on wireless.
E. Develop new revenue producing ideas that result in communications services that the company can offer through OEM agreements and its agreements with PND manufacturers.
F. Produce (custom, ad hoc, and standard) reports on demand for marketing management, executive team and business partners.
G. Participate in interdepartmental meetings and conference calls with vendors/consultants.
H. Develop business cases for product enhancements.
I. Performs all other projects and duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
A. BS/BA degree in a technical discipline or Marketing. MBA is a plus.
B. 7 to 9 years of experience with a major wireless carrier in a product management/project management role; or a major customer of a wireless carrier in an operational or strategic role; or a network equipment provider of wireless services. Such wireless services should include cellular and SMS but also include wi-fi, wi-max. 3-5 years experience in other wireless and communications technologies.
C. Detailed knowledge of the communications landscape with an emphasis on a variety of wireless technologies.
D. Thorough knowledge of wireless protocols to include CDMA, GSM, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and WiMax.
E. Knowledge of automotive telematics and/or other connected devices is highly desirable. This can come from working inside or outside the industry.
F. Preference for a service background vs. equipment background.
G. History of innovation and a passion for the business.
H. Small company roll-up-your sleeves mentality required and ability to be creative and work through and with other people and teams.
I. Experience in a marketing organization is highly desirable.
J. Proven record of accomplishment in a product management and/or project management role.
K. Good oral and written communication skills and power of persuasion are beneficial.

Seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager with a project management background. The ideal candidate will have ad agency experience, as well as a pharmaceutical background. Lack of a pharmaceutical background is not a deal breaker, but it would, indeed, be the icing on the cake.
Responsibilities:
- Managing, coordinating and tracking all aspects of promotion projects’/programs’ timelines and deliverables
