SKILLS REQUIRED & DESCRIPTION:
Has advanced layout and typesetting abilities. Can modify existing art and create simple, original art using illustration software. Can proofread own work. Has thorough understanding of basic design, typography and use of color. Can take projects from concept to completion. Is familiar with all aspects of prepress production, including color separations and preparation of art for service bureaus. Portfolio typically contains high-end four-color or multi-color artwork. Many production artists in this category have worked for agencies or studios.
To qualify, candidates must be experts in computer or pre-press production on Macintosh or PC platforms. Assignments are also available for candidates who are proficient in presentation software.
