Art Squad/Austin is seeking a team-oriented interactive production artist for an agency client. In this role you will work closely with art directors and designers optimizing and editing graphics for websites, banner ads and e-mail campaign projects. The ideal candidate will offer 1-3 years of interactive experience, as well as strong technical understanding and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Knowledge of the Mac platform, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Flash, Fireworks and Freehand is required. Experience with BBEdit or other HTML editors is a plus. In this position you will work in a highly collaborative environment, helping designers and working on projects of your own.

SKILLS REQUIRED & DESCRIPTION:

Art Squad/Austin is seeking a Web/Interactive Production Artist for our client. The interactive production artist will provide production support to the creative team by developing graphical assets that contribute to an enhanced user experience. In this role, the production artist will be responsible for the technical execution of design assets including HTML/CSS templates and project work files. Although this is more a production than a design role, a strong eye for design and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, and color impact design for the web is also necessary. Excellent communication skills and a highly developed & focused attention to detail are required.
 

Essential Job Functions:

- Produce HTML and CSS files based on design mockups
- Work autonomously to execute revisions & subsequent versions
- Assist Art Directors in all facets of project development
- Assist in the archiving & organization of digital assets
 

Requirements:

- Minimum of two years interactive production experience within an agency or in-house/marketing environment
- High level of proficiency hand-coding HTML, XHTML, CSS
- Good eye for design/typography
- High level of proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite
- Some experience with Flash and Dreamweaver
- Ability to remain flexible in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
