Coordinates and directs the concept and design process and key design talent in production of advertising campaigns and materials. Coordinates strategy sessions and project meetings. Reviews campaign requirements and develops concepts by conferring with copywriters, art directors and account services. Consults with creative and production teams to determine media strategies and vehicles. Supervises location shoots. Reviews and approves graphics and copy materials. Monitors expenditures to keep within budget parameters. Directs and assigns workflow of creative staff. Participates in new business pitches. Minimum eight years creative industry experience with prior experience in art/creative direction. May or may not be proficient on software programs. May come from a copywriting or design background.

Art Squad Austin is currently seeking an Interactive Designer for a permanent position with one of our leading interactive agency clients. In addition to the requirements listed below, candidates should have 3+ years of experience working as an Interactive Designer or Art Director with an interactive agency or in-house marketing department on consumer-focused interactive experiences.

Scope:

- Work with project leaders to conceptualize and execute design, assist with production and, if applicable, minor programming on all projects including    websites, UI, emails, and video, through the implementation stage
- Assist in creating architecture for Flash projects and Flash based websites
- Elevate and improve the overall user experience through the use of interactive interface design

Requirements:

- Expert-level user of the Adobe CS, including Illustrator, PhotoShop, and Flash
- Working knowledge of ActionScript 3.0, HTML/CSS, and XML
- General understanding of back-end technology and database integration
- Passion for design, usability, information architecture, and attention to detail
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Superlative written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of current creative media trends
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design
