Valerie Freeman Honored by the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas

DALLAS, TX (August 14, 2007) – Valerie Freeman, founder and chief executive of Imprimis Group, will be honored by the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas on October 10, 2007, at the Real Girls Real Women awards luncheon at the Hilton Anatole for her community involvement, commitment to women’s issues, and leadership skills.

Ms. Freeman is also chairwoman of the Dallas County Community College District Foundation, and serves on the boards of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Business Council Southwest,andthe National Advisory Board for the National Association of Women Business Owners.
 
She is a member of the Committee of 200, Dallas Assembly, Dallas Summit, World President’s Organization, and Executive Women of Dallas and is an alumna of Leadership Texas and the Young President’s Organization.
 
Ms. Freeman is director and co-founder of two for-profit organizations: Anserteam LLC; a national staffing company, and the Texas Women Ventures Fund, which makes investments in women-owned companies.
 
She’s also a founding member of the Dallas Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Executive Women’s Roundtable, International Women’s Forum, The Women’s Museum, and the Women’s Business Council Southwest.
